With effect from 15 October, Dr Ralf Holz is the new managing director of GOEBEL Schneid- und Wickelsysteme GmbH. The long-established German company, which belongs to the Italian IMS TECHNOLOGIES Group, is pleased to welcome with Dr Holz a strategist with extensive leadership experience.

The 55-year-old has been working for many years in various industries – including well-known companies in the consumer health-care sector and the automotive industry. He has held several executive and financial management positions. Until September 2018, he was sole managing director of BIKOMA GmbH, an international manufacturer of special machinery for the hygiene and paper industry.

“I am looking forward to this exciting task and to contribute in my experiences in post-merger-integration processes and change management for the strategic development of this international leading manufacturer of special machinery," says the new managing director.

Dr Ralf Holz succeeds the previous managing directors Harald Knechtel (sales and marketing) and Dr Hans-Peter Bauer (operations), who both remain responsible for sales and engineering functions within the company. The appointment of Dr Holz allows both former managing directors to concentrate on their core responsibilities.

GOEBEL Schneid- und Wickelsysteme GmbH, under its brand name GOEBEL IMS, is internationally known as a leading supplier of innovative slitting and winding solutions for paper and board, film and special materials. The product range of GOEBEL IMS includes slitter rewinders and winding machines, such as two-drum winders for the processing of paper and board.
